Toy Story 3, The Sandlot & Father's Day Weekend

I would say Ruben had a great Father's Day weekend. He took off on Friday so he could take Jacob to Donuts for Dad at Jacob's school. It would be his last one at Primrose so Ruben had to go. They woke up early on Friday and got ready and headed out. They came back about 2 hours later. Ruben said he lost track of time and was playing in Jacob's classroom with Jacob & his friends. I can picture this happening too! We had pre-ordered our Toy Story 3 tickets for the 1st showing of the 1st day it came out. We had too...Jacob has been waiting for this movie since we started seeing previews for it over a year ago. He LOVES Toy Story...I am actually not sure if loves is even a strong enough word. We headed to the theater & Jacob could barley keep from jumping out of his skin he was so excited!! We all loved it!! It is my favorite out of the others. I even cried at the end (I have never cried during a movie)...it was awesome!! Great movie for any age & the ending was awesome...they did a great job!!! Jacob said he couldn't wait for Toy Story 4...I told him I think 3 was the last one! We headed home to rest for a bit and then we were off to the Astros game. My cousin and his family were in town so we picked them up and had a blast at the game!! Of course the Astros lost but it was a great game and the fireworks after the game were amazing! Saturday we did a little shopping and then we went to a family friend's Quinceanera. Jacob and Madelyn had a blast dancing the night away!! On Sunday Jacob & I woke up and made Ruben breakfast...pancakes, bacon, eggs, and biscuits. It was yummy if I say so myself! We hung out and then got ready to have lunch with Ruben's family. We then stopped and got snow cones and then headed to my parents to have dinner with my family. It was a fun day! Happy Father's Day again to Ruben, my dad, Ruben's dad, & my brother in law Gilbert. They are all amazing men!!

Now to The Sandlot. Jacob is obessed with this movie. He knows just about every word and wants us to call him Benny the Jet. He is too funny! I love this movie and I don't mind watching it but he literally watches it everyday!! He called me an L 7 wennie...it was too funny I couldn't even get mad & he goes around saying, "Your killin me smalls!" BOYS!!

Jacob Ryan's 5th Birthday & Party

It's official...I have a 5 year old son!! Ahh! On the morning of his birthday we woke him up at 5:34 a.m. (the time he was born) and sang Happy Birthday to him. He didn't like it much...he is so not a morning person! He shot up and said OMG do I look different? We played with him and said yes...he was so old he had wrinkles! He didn't believe us and took off to the bathroom to look in the mirror. He comes out and says, "I don't have wrinkles...maybe you get them when you turn 6 or 7." It was so cute. We let him go back to bed and Ruben was off to work. When Jacob woke up I made him breakfast and then we got ready to head to Kemah for the day. We had a blast! We rode rides, ate at Cadillac Bar, ate ice cream, and visited the candy & toy store. He was pooped by the time we left. We headed home to pick up his birthday cake and did a little decorating. Our families came over and we had pizza (of course...what else would he have picked). We had cake & he opened his presents from us. All in all it was a great day!! Still can't believe he is 5 years old!!

His pirate birthday party was on Saturday. We had it at Jump N Jungle...best place ever! It was the easiest party I ever had! It was nice to have to people do everything for you & Ruben & I just got to enjoy the party with Jacob. We had about 16 kids there & Jacob was so happy to have his family and friends around him. He had a great time running from moonwalk to moonwalk!
