Ladybug, Ladybug

Yesterday was my niece, Madelyn Grace, 2nd birthday & party. It was a blast!! Here are a couple of pictures.
Right after the party we were headed off to another scrimmage game & boy was it freezing. The wing was blowing so hard some of the boys hats kept flying off...it was so funny! Our team did great...I am so proud of how well they are doing. After the game we headed to my sister's to watch Madelyn open her presents and have some dinner. Jacob was so worn out from the party & the game he fell asleep in his chair...poor baby!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Time to get ready for our week.
Monday: Score keeping class
Tuesday: Practice
Friday: Practice
Saturday: OUR FIRST GAME! Can't wait!!

"Auntie, I Love You Bebe!"

Between school, work, everyday duties, T-Ball, and our new house...time just seems to go faster and faster. Last Thursday was my sister & brother in laws 4th Wedding Anniversary. I thank God he brought them together...I have the best sister & brother in law ever! Friday I took Jacob to get his T-Ball pictures taken...they came out awesome. I bought like all of them...here are a couple:On Saturday was my mom's birthday! My dad & I made breakfast for my mom that morning and then we all went out to dinner that night. I love my mom...May God bless her with many more happy years!!

Monday we had a scrimmage game against the Philly's and I have to say our team did great! I am so proud of them! They are a great time and they all get along. Their thing is after every practice they yell "While Sox" and then all "dog pile" each other. It is hilarious!

4 more days and my niece, Madelyn Grace, will be turning 2 years old! She is my world, I love that little girl just as much a Jacob. The 2 of them are my reason of living. I can't believe she will be 2 already. I tear up thinking about it. It feels like just yesterday my sister was having her and now she has turned into a loud, silly, DIVA. Man that girl is going to be trouble when she gets older! She talks so much its amazing...but of course my favorite thing to hear her say is "Auntie, I love you Bebe!" Melts my heart! Thank you God for bringing her into our family, I don't know what we would do without her...well it sure would make for some quite dinners! Her party is going to be at the Little Gym so it should be a lot of fun! Jacob also has another scrimmage game right after her party so it sure will be a busy day!

I also can't wait until Easter! Some of my family is coming in and I am just so excited! It has been a long time since we have all had Easter together...this is very overdue!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hope your wearing green!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Jacob's room is finished!! Yey! My Dad is an amazing job putting the chair rail around the room and painting. I know red is a hard color to paint but it looks awesome! We got his furniture moved in there last night and hung up some of the decor. I still need to put up something above his bed but I am getting something framed soon that will fill that spot.

I love how it turned out...THANK YOU DAD!

T-Ball practice starts up again today...Jacob is so excited...he had a blast on Opening Day. Hope everyone has a great week!

Welcome To The Jungle & Opening Day

What a crazy weekend! Opening day, painting...I will spare you the details but we had a BLAST at Opening Day! Here are a couple of pictures of Jacob's play room (it's almost done...I need some sore of window treatments but can't decide what I want to do yet). I still have somethings to do but I think it is coming along great. I LOVE MY "WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE" My dad will be done painting Jacob's room today so I can't wait to see how it is all going to turn out! On Saturday was Opening Day...here are some pictures:

"Hurry Do It...I'll Time You"

I am guessing Jacob just goes through these crazy phases. Lately he has been rebellious. Not bad as in I can't take him not listening to me, rebellious as in when I ask him to do something I have to keep telling him to do it many times before he actually does it. Well I thought of a smart way to get him to do what I want. HaHa...yey me! "Jacob go brush your teeth." , "NO!" Turned into: "Jacob go brush your teeth...HURRY DO IT...I'LL TIME YOU!" , "Ok, start counting now" (while he takes off running to do whatever it is I have asked him to do) Then I count out loud (so he can hear how long it takes him to do the task) until he comes back to me. He just gets a kick out of how "fast" he does something. Sweet! So far so good! Each time he tries to do the task faster than the time before. He gets so excited...who knew someone would get such a kick out of numbers! Now he even likes to time me and we race to see who does things first...such a boy, so competitive! As long as he is doing what I ask! I'm sure eventually he will grow tired of this "counting game" but I sure am living it up while it last!

Hello, My Name Is...Busy!

What a weekend this has been. We cleaned the house top to bottom and basically moved everything into the new house. THANK YOU GOD FOR PROVIDING US WITH AMAZING FAMILIES WHO HAVE HELPED US ALL WEEKEND!! The house is almost done. I need a few more things to finish Jacob's playroom and my dad is still working on Jacob's room. He put a chair rail around the room on Monday and we will probably paint it on Sunday. I can't wait! It was non stop this whole weekend. Moving furniture, cleaning, washing clothes, unpacking...I am exhausted! The house is really coming together...I love it! Monday we had t-ball practice at a batting cage and tonight I have a Team Mom's meeting & I get the boys uniforms. I cant wait to see them. We have practice again on Thursday and then Saturday is opening day! I am so excited...it's going to be a long but fun day! I have been trying to squeeze in time from all this house stuff to get stuff for T-Ball ready and trying to manage my 2 classes. It has been tough but it will all pay off. I will post some pictures soon of the house...it was definitely worth the wait!

It's Official!

As of 10:00 a.m. this morning we are officially home owners! Thank you God for showing us the path we needed to go down. Many times during the whole house search I questioned God and his plan for us but I now know he had a plan for us all along. He put us in a great neighborhood filled with lots of kids, in the school zone I wanted, and so much more. We are right where we are supposed to be. Thank you God! We had the exterminator go by today and do a complete spray for mice, fleas, roaches...you name it he sprayed for it. I just wanted to make sure! Tomorrow Ruben, my mom & I will be doing a heavy cleaning and we have a carpet cleaning company coming by to shampoo and disinfect all of the carpet...as you can see I want to make sure everything is super clean before we move any of our stuff in. I also want Ruben to paint 1 wall in Jacob's play room to match the jungle theme I am going to do in there...I am so excited about it...I can't wait until I have it all put together. Jacob also has T-Ball practice so we will have to cut the cleaning time only until about 5:00 p.m.

Yesterday we had our final walk through right after work so my sister picked up Jacob from school for me and took him to practice. After the walk through I had to hurry over to practice because I had some papers to give all of the parents. I missed most of the practice and I was pretty bummed about that. Opening day is next Saturday so I have a lot to give them so we can get our uniforms and I had to order our team banner and show it to them and I also had to get the names of each kid and what name they wanted monogrammed on the back of their hats. After practice my mom, Jacob & I headed to Home Depot to get wood blinds. I had a paper that I took all of the measurements of all of the windows in the house that I was supposed to bring with me. We get to Home Depot and who forgets the paper with the measurements....ME! Ugh! I feel like a chicken with my head cut off lately with 2 classes, the whole house thing, being team mom for T-Ball and being a secretary & treasurer of a Church and trying to help with our Mother's Day Out registration for the fall school year. I like being busy so I shouldn't complain. The whole house thing has been stressing me out but it is final so that is a weight off of my shoulders. It has been a whole month of anxiety and I am so happy it is official and we will finally be in our new home! Since we couldn't get the blinds we headed to JCPenny and I got a couple of curtain rods and I found the bedding I wanted for Ruben & I's room...and best of all I got a great deal. The original price was for the set was $335 but it was on sale and I had 2 coupons that they let me use...my total price...$120! I was stoked!!

These couple of weeks coming up are sure going to be busy but very exciting! Thank you God for the blessings you have brought into our lives. I pray everyone has a great weekend!

"God Made Me Just For You"

I just love to hear the words that come out of Jacob's mouth! He never surprises me. Last night when I was putting him in bed he hugged me and I kissed him here is how our conversation went:

"Jakey your my best friend."
"What about Daddy?"
"Yeah he's my best friend too but your my favorite person in the whole world."
"Yeah I know...God got a big piece of paper and drew you on it and then daddy and then he picked me and drew me...God made me just for you!"
Ahh are kidding me. Love him. He is so smart. I thank God everyday for that boy. He is so caring and loving. God really did make him just for me...Jacob has taught me things no one ever has before.
In school they are learning about money. How much each piece is worth, how to add it, and what money looks like. Well we give Jacob our change or spare dollars to put in his "Disney World piggy bank" and the other day Ruben gave Jacob some change (1 was a penny) and Jacob says: "Oh look the Lincoln memorial"...WHAT? We ask him where the Lincoln memorial is and he says: "It's in Washington D.C." OMG! Then Ruben asked him if he knew who are president is, he says: "No, but our first president was George Washington" OMG...THIS BOY IS 4 YEARS OLD...HE IS IN PRE-K! Amazing if you ask me! He can also count to 100 (now he's going to 200...but needs a little help) and he can count by 10's. I LOVE PRIMROSE...BEST SCHOOL EVER...SO WORTH THE MONEY WE PAY!
2 more days and we close on our house!!! We have a walk through tomorrow and then close at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday...wish us luck!!

Packing, Packing....Did I Mention Packing?

As you can probably figure out my whole weekend consisted of.....PACKING! It has been bittersweet that is for sure!

Friday I dropped off Jacob at school and met my sister up at the gym. After that we headed to Wal-Mart for a couple of things and then headed to my mom's so I could pack up some old high school things and organize all of the decor and things I have bought already for the new house...it literally consumed my whole clothes and room. Maybe I should stop for a while until we get all of it in the new house. After that I headed home to do some laundry and got ready to pick up Jacob from school. We went back to my mom's and waited for T-Ball practice to start (they practice on my parent land...very convenient). Jacob did really well at practice...I was very proud. After practice my mom, sister, Madelyn & I headed out to dinner.

Saturday Ruben went to Home Depot and bought boxes so the packing process could really start! We boxed up all our electronics...Wii, XBox, Guitar Hero, cables, movies and all of Jacob's closet (we only left him enough clothes for the week). We also cleaned out his toys and threw away anything he no longer played with. We put a little dent in our closet but decided to stop and hang out the rest of the night. Ruben picked up some fajitas from Gringo's and we watched movies with Jacob.

Sunday it was back at it. Ruben took Jacob to practice some T-Ball while I did some cleaning up. By 4:00 p.m. I was tired of being in the house all weekend I got ready and headed to Academy and Kohl's. Our weekend just flew by...I am hoping the week will too...C'mon Thursday!!

I hope everyone has a great week!
I will leave you with a joke I heard this weekend...I thought it was hilarious...others I have told this too have not seemed to think it was as funny as I have...you decide...
How do you wake Lady Gaga up in the morning?
You Pokerface!

Hello Lent, Goodbye Red Meat

So yesterday was Ash Wednesday & after a lot of thought as to what I was going to give up I finally decided on red meat. That means...no burgers, no pizza (pepperoni), no bacon, no steaks, no ground beef...just good ole CHICKEN! Every year I try to give something up & always fail...I really want to stick to it this year! Day 2 and I am doing good! We went to service last night and Jacob kept saying he liked the "tattoos we got on our foreheads"...the ashes...crazy boy!

We got news today that we will close on our house 1 week from today, February 25! We are so excited. We will also get the keys that day (the sellers originally needed 2 extra days after closing but not anymore). I can't wait! We really need to get on the ball and start packing! Here is a quick picture of the house....

Valentine's & Baseball Season In Full Swing

On Friday I stopped at the florist and picked up 7 single red roses. 4 for the ladies in the front office at Jacob's school 3 for his 3 teachers. We walked into school and Jacob hands a rose to each lady and said "Happy Valentine's Day!" they all hugged him...too sweet! My sister & I took Jacob & Madelyn to their classes and headed to the bakery to pick up Jacob's cupcakes for his party. We then headed back to the florist to pick up some "surprise" flowers for my mom. We went back to the kid's school and stayed for their Valentine's parties. Super cute! When we left the parties we called my mom and told her we were going to take her out to lunch and we would call her when we were outside her work. Well we didn't call...instead we headed up to her office with our dozen roses and 2 purple iris (her favorite...1 to represent Jacob & 1 to represent Madelyn). She was so surprised! We headed off to lunch and then dropped her back off. My sister & I did some shopping for my new house...so fun...and then headed back to pick up the kids. We went back to my sister's house and made some Valentine's cookies...yumm! We watched the opening of the Winter Olympics and headed home. On Saturday we had a lazy day and just cleaned up and did some laundry. Jacob had his first T-Ball practice and we were so excited!
On Sunday we woke up early and Ruben & I gave Jacob his Valentine gift (a bunch of Toy Story things) and then Ruben took Jacob & I to a Valentine's breakfast...love it! After breakfast we headed to Acedemy to get some T-Ball gear and then headed to my sister's to give Madelyn her Valentine gift and for her to give Jacob his. We headed home to rest a bit and then since it was such a nice day Ruben decided to take a ride on his motorcycle and Jacob & I headed off to the movies to see "The Tooth fairy" it was so cute. We both loved it. When we got out we headed home and picked up Ruben and headed to my moms for dinner. We had a simple but great Valentine's day!
Yesterday I had my first Team Mom meeting. They sure did give a ton of info. I am so excited. I can't wait for opening day...I have a lot of work to do before then. We have practice tonight on my parent's land so I have to get some info together for all the parents. I love baseball season...this is my time of year!!

White Sox

Sorry Astros, although you are my team I have to make room for a new team in my life. The White Sox...why the White Sox you ask? Because that is the name of Jacob's T-Ball team! Yey! We got a call from the coach on Monday and I am so pumped for Jacob to start T-Ball again. Ruben will be a "sorta" coach...with school 3 nights a week and tons of homework he will help out when he can instead of being the one in charge. He was upset about it but of course his schooling needs to come first and he will be there to help when he can. I am "Team Mom"....yey super excited about that. I live for this! I have my first "Team Mom" meeting on March 3. Jacob has his first practice on Saturday & he is ready to start playing again.

GO WHITE SOX!

Jake Owen Concert & Basically

Saturday was a blast! We went to my mom's market show at the Hilton Downtown and saw Jake Owen perform. He was awesome! The food was awesome...just all around good time. Here are a couple of pictures from the party. When I got home from the party I started to feel like my throat was starting to get sore...again. Ugh when will it end! I took some medicine and fell right to sleep. Ruben, Jacob & I all slept in until almost 10:00 a.m...that is a record for us...we never sleep past 8:00 a.m. It was nice though...I needed that rest. My throat was still hurting but the day had to go on. After a late breakfast I got Jacob & I ready and dropped him off at his friend's house for their play date/small birthday party. I picked up my mom and we headed off to buy my new kitchen table....we are moving! I have been scared to say anything cause I don't want to jinx it but we will be closing on our new house on March 1. Ruben and I are so excited. Nervous but excited. We love the house, we love the neighborhood, we love the school Jacob will be going to in the fall. Everything. We have looked and looked and looked and we have finally found what we are looking for. Thank you God! It is basically ours but we just have to finish up some more paper work and then close on the 1st but as of all the negotiations, inspections and that sort of thing (the hardest things to me) are all past us. Whew...to much stress for me. So after we bought the table we did a little more shopping & our house is pretty much decorated...my mom is awesome! I still need a couple of more stuff and we need to pick out coaches but that's about it. Please wish us luck everything continues to run smoothly. This is a huge deal for us...it's our first home!!
